Module learning outcomes:

• Specify, justify and plan a project to enable the implementation of a substantial product or service of a form appropriate to the student’s subject area / award set.
• Undertake detailed academic and practical research in an area appropriate to the student’s chosen project.
• Apply research, methodology and skills to design, build, test and evaluate a solution appropriate to the student’s chosen project.
• Critically evaluate the processes, methods and outcomes of the student’s chosen project.

This was a double module as part of my final year projects. The brief was to come up with a product, whether it be a website, short film or documentary, music video, story, mobile application or some other concept. My deliverables for this module are to be:

• Brand guidelines
• Logo design
• Short animations for use in the app

My product is a mobile application designed around helping the user manage symptoms of PTSD. As part of my research I conducted a 3500 word literature review of peer reviewed academic papers on my research question which was, “How can a mobile app positively impact and support individuals with PTSD in managing their symptoms and improving their mental health and well-being?” I then had to collate all my work in to a final presentation which is still ongoing.
