Finding Inspiration in Quick Creations

Have you ever stumbled upon an idea that sparked a wildfire of creativity within you? That’s precisely what happened to me when my ‘Short Story’ lecturer shared a simple yet profound practice during one of our classes.

He casually mentioned how once a month, he sets aside a day to create an animation from scratch—no elaborate planning, just pure creative impulse guiding the process. It was a revelation. The idea of dedicating a single day to bring an idea to life, without the weight of expectations or the burden of perfection, resonated deeply with me.

And thus, the concept of quick creations was born.

Once a month, on a serene Sunday morning, I now plan find myself eagerly diving into a world of unlimited possibilities. Armed with nothing but my imagination and the desire to learn, I am embarking on a journey of discovery. Whether it’s experimenting with a new illustration style or mastering a new animation technique, each quick creation session is to be a voyage into the unknown.

What I love most about this practice is its liberating nature. There are no rules, no boundaries—just pure, unadulterated creativity. It’s a chance to break free from the shackles of routine and embrace the joy of experimentation.

It’s not about creating masterpieces; it’s about the process, the journey, and the lessons learned along the way.

So, if you ever find yourself in need of a creative spark, I encourage you to give quick creations a try. Set aside a day, unleash your imagination, and see where it takes you. Who knows? You might just discover a whole new world of possibilities waiting to be explored.

Until next time, keep creating!
